The beautiful mountain scenery and the wide panoramic view - coupled with blue skies and lots of sunshine - make the region an ideal travel destination for anyone who wants to get back to nature.
Michèle and Patrik have fulfilled a big dream with the Berglodge Goms. The small hotel with 13 rooms is located in almost untouched nature and is a paradise for relaxation and activities in every season. Even from the outside, the house impresses with its honest, modern and yet traditional architecture. The wooden log cabin in a knitted construction was built exclusively from untreated Swiss larch and spruce wood. The award-winning style blends in with the existing village image and the natural aesthetics ensure great comfort. Guests can enjoy it all around because it smells good and feels good too. The minimalist furnishings are calming and the large windows ensure plenty of light. Small, tasteful accessories round off the rooms. The natural beds with airy down duvets and cuddly soft organic linen bed linen feel like clouds.
As self-proclaimed "outdoor hosts", the two offer yoga classes and cross-country skiing courses depending on the season and the guests' desires. Both are not only certified ski instructors, they also simply enjoy spending a lot of time with their guests. A vegetarian menu is usually offered on Friday and Saturday evenings or on request. Otherwise, guests can enjoy their dinner in one of the numerous restaurants in the town or in the valley. The restaurants can be reached in just a few minutes. It doesn't get more like a vacation - lots of nature, a wide range of sports and good food. After a day in the Valais, you fall into bed tired and satisfied and enjoy the smell of forest and wood as you fall asleep.

ArchitectureThe construction wood used comes from the local forests of Goms. The wood was sawn and dried nearby and then processed. All construction work was carried out by regional contractors.
FoodSome of the products used in the kitchen come from our own garden and, where possible, from the region. Food waste is avoided as much as possible and recycled in compost.
Both employees live on site and are paid fairly according to the collective agreement. Great care is taken to ensure that overtime is an absolute exception. The employees also benefit from free yoga lessons, cross-country skiing lessons and ski rentals.
EnvironmentWhen the mountain lodge was built, great attention was paid to sustainable materials. The photovoltaic system produces around 85 percent of the annual electricity requirement and also relies 100 percent on renewable energy. The large garden is designed according to the principles of permaculture, which promotes biodiversity and makes the soil fertile in the long term. In collaboration with Birdlife Oberwallis, nesting aids for swifts were integrated into the building. In addition, there are ornithological weekends in early summer with knowledge transfer. The mountain lodge supports the Binntal landscape park.
Well-BeingThe Berglodge Goms has its own yoga studio and its own cross-country skiing school in winter. Various yoga retreats, ornithological hikes, Pilates, coaching sessions, guided hikes and ski tours take place. There is also the option of sports massages and there is a small Finnish sauna in the adjacent building.
Erst einmal tief einatmen.
