House

Alte Schule Brandenburg

Sechzehneichen, Brandenburg, Germany

Host Corinna Kassner's holiday home dates back to 1920. Once an old village school where several age groups were taught in one classroom, it now offers a unique mix of history and modern comfort. The former teacher's apartment and classroom were lovingly renovated and opened as a holiday home in 2019.

The atmosphere in the house is warm and cozy, not least thanks to the fireplaces that provide cozy warmth on cool evenings. Corinna Kassner, who runs the house together with her family, attaches great importance to details, which makes the holiday home particularly personal and inviting. Family heirlooms and other lovingly selected objects tell stories and invite guests to explore.

But it's not just the house itself that offers relaxation and recreation. In the spacious garden, guests can practice yoga in the open air or enjoy films in the open-air cinema. There is also a yoga loft. For active hours, there are two SUPs and the "Freistunde" rowing boat available.

A special highlight of the accommodation are the evenings around the campfire, where you can prepare stick bread and popcorn over the fire bowl while watching shooting stars from the hammock. Here in the countryside, you can unwind wonderfully, and if you want, you can round off the experience with cooking courses or other adventure packages.

Sustainable

ArchitectureWhen renovating the holiday home, special emphasis was placed on preserving the original charm of the building. A targeted focus was placed on upcycling in order to reuse old materials and minimize waste. Many of the pieces of furniture come from the family and tell stories of past generations, which gives the house a personal and authentic touch. In order to preserve this heritage, local craftsmen were sometimes brought in, who ensured with great attention to detail that the old was carefully integrated into the new.

FoodIn the holiday home, guests can cook for themselves and enjoy fresh eggs from the house&

EnvironmentA charging station is available for guests with electric cars to make their journey and stay as environmentally friendly as possible. The garden is watered by a pump that works efficiently and conserves resources. Waste separation is of course practiced here. The cleaning products used in the house are also environmentally friendly and thus contribute to a sustainable stay.

Well-BeingGuests can enrich their stay with a variety of additional offers. These include a barrel sauna, private yoga sessions, massages, cooking and baking courses, creative workshops such as dried flower arranging, and much more.
