Alpenhaus Barbara 1750

Bad Gastein, Salzburg (state), Austria

Waking up with a view of the mountains - that (and so much more) is possible in the Alpenhaus Barbara. The house from 1750 has been completely rehabilitated and renovated in recent years and is located in a historical museum village. The location is quiet and idyllic, you can see the small village square, which is beautifully laid out and surrounded by nothing but mountains.

Hostess Andrea von Goetz is an art collector and founder of the art festival sommer.frische.kunst in Bad Gastein. Contemporary art can therefore be found everywhere in the house. Her flair for beauty is also reflected elsewhere in the premises: there is the perfect combination of tradition and modernity - perfect craftsmanship meets the latest technology and inventory.

On the ground floor of the house there is a replica wooden room with a large kitchen, which invites you to spend cozy hours at the large table and oven. There are also two renovated double rooms with private bathrooms and a wellness area with a large shower, sauna and relaxation room. The various bedrooms in the house have reclaimed timber ceilings and all have en-suite shower rooms and timber floors. Absolute highlight of the house? The loft with over 100 square meters, which impresses with its spaciousness, modernity and unobstructed view of the mountains.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe facade of the Alpenhaus Barbara was preserved and professionally renovated. During the renovation, old treasures such as wooden ceilings and beams were uncovered and restored. Hand-painted old furniture has been integrated into the new concept. In addition, only handicraft businesses from the region were used. Local wood and stone are the main components of the renovation.

Well-BeingThere is a nice little sauna and relaxation area at Alpenhaus Barbara. You can also book private yoga sessions and massage therapy. These then take place in the house. There is also a beautiful hiking trail directly behind the house to the next small alpine pasture. In addition, many alpine pastures with local delicacies can be reached in just 15 minutes. If you also want to do something good for your body, you can go mountain biking, swimming, climbing and, of course, skiing.
