ArchitectureIn addition to taking sustainable factors into account, the architect created a building that fits perfectly into the landscape. It does not stand out, but rather complements the surroundings. Old materials were reused whenever possible. The floor, for example, is made of old cocoa bean shells. The construction took place in collaboration with local companies.
FoodThe restaurant serves à la carte dishes prepared with local produce. The hosts value the local area very much, which is why they only work with regional suppliers. There are many vegetarian dishes and food intolerances are taken into account.
The employees live a maximum of 15 kilometers from the hotel. They have all been working for the hotel for several years and are firmly integrated into the team. They receive various benefits, such as free access to the gym. Zoomers has adopted two seals on the island of Texel.
EnvironmentThe hotel is heated with wood instead of gas. A large pellet heating system was installed and solar panels were also installed. The hosts care deeply about the environment and are working to ensure that the hotel's CO2 emissions are zero. The hotel was financed with a sustainable loan from the bank. This means that the lower the CO2 emissions, the lower the loan installments. Guests are informed about the sustainability efforts.

By car
The Zoomers beach hotel can be reached from Amsterdam in just over half an hour by car (60 km). From Düsseldorf it takes just under 3 hours (259 km), from Bremen it takes around 4 hours (368 km) and from Brussels it takes around 3 hours (249 km). The exact address can be found on the website.
By public transport
The nearest train station in Castricum is 4 km from the hotel. In summer there are bus connections to the beach. Otherwise you have to take a taxi to the hotel or cycle the last few kilometers.
