The Waldmeisterzimmer apartment is located in the middle of the idyllic Black Forest in the monastery village of St. Peter. The woodruff room is the perfect accommodation for all those who love nature and art, but above all are looking for rural tranquility. This gives guests the opportunity to enjoy the advantages of urban comfort, but without the hustle and bustle.
The artistic streak of the owner family was one of the motives for further expanding the holiday apartment built in 2019 and modernizing it in such a way that it can accommodate all the amenities of contemporary life. Both for locals and holidaymakers: ideally located inside, it never feels "touristy" here. Extensive mountain meadows and the Feldberg, the highest point outside of the German Alps, at almost 1,500 meters, there are no limits to (challenging) outdoor opportunities.
Guests in the woodruff room will find healthy village life between farms and top organic cuisine in a well-developed infrastructure, with wide open spaces right outside the door. Modern panorama windows and the connected sun terrace manage to bring nature inside, where natural building materials can be found anyway.

ArchitectureThe ecologically designed house blends in harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Sustainable materials such as wood, linoleum and biological insulation materials ensure a healthy indoor climate. The owners were accompanied through the planning and construction phase by the local family business, Ökohaus Ibach, which, together with other companies from the area, is committed to sustainability. The interior of the woodruff room is of high quality, and much of the wooden furniture comes from specialized small businesses. All fixtures are self-made. Wooden and tile floors, a vapor-permeable wall structure and wooden ceilings invite you to linger without looking too rustic. The interior lighting, which can be combined in a variety of ways, subtly highlights the paintings, drawings and sculptures in the rooms.
FoodGuests can use their own woodruff herb garden and find organic farms in the immediate vicinity of the holiday apartment for healthy nutrition and optimal self-sufficiency in the midst of nature.
EnvironmentThe house is connected to the local energy supply, the monastery village of St. Peter is also a bioenergy village. Compliance with environmentally friendly measures is ensured in the operational processes and guests are made aware of local food. In addition, guests of the woodruff room can use local and long-distance public transport free of charge with the guest card.
Well-BeingThe spacious holiday apartment with a sun terrace offers plenty of space for yoga sessions and relaxation close to nature. The town of St. Peter, which can be reached via a panoramic hiking trail, also offers a variety of different wellness offers as well as an indoor swimming pool and several thermal baths in the area.
