Located in the heart of an authentic fishing village in Puglia, The Monsignor's Estate offers unparalleled sea views from every floor.
Early in the morning, you can watch the fishermen in their small boats, follow the hustle and bustle on the promenade, or watch the fruit vendor who drives by daily with his cart. The location in the historic center of Mola di Bari invites you to leave the bustling city life behind and simply relax.
The house itself has a long history: Originally built as a single story, it was expanded to four floors in the 1940s. It was acquired by the current owners in 2016 and officially opened to guests in 2022. Since then, the property has been personally managed – from managing bookings to cleaning and providing all necessary amenities. The goal is to make guests feel like they are staying with friends or family, rather than in an anonymous vacation rental.
The ground floor of the house boasts a modern, minimalist design, created after a renovation due to water damage. The first two floors have retained their historic charm: traditional "marmette" tiles, slightly uneven walls, and light, modern wooden shelving lend the rooms warmth and character. High ceilings, an open-plan layout, and cozy furnishings ensure a completely comfortable feel.
Particularly remarkable is the tranquility one finds here—from the sound of the waves in the morning to the quiet afternoon when the village comes to rest. Small details of everyday life, contact with locals, and the proximity to the sea make a stay at The Monsignor's Estate an authentic and relaxing experience.

The architecture of the house is typical of Apulia, yet unique in the region. Unlike many other accommodations in the city, the entire house is rented, not individual rooms. The walls are made of local "tufo di Trani" stone, concealed behind the plaster, and the original floor tiles have been reused on the upper floors. Matching used tiles from the region were even sourced for missing pieces, as these are no longer produced.
Upon request, the hosts will stock the refrigerator with local produce. Every morning, around 9 a.m., a local vendor comes by to sell fresh, regional produce.
Waste is strictly separated, and energy is supplied exclusively from renewable sources. Heating and cooling are provided by a particularly efficient heat pump when needed, while the well-insulated walls and double-glazed windows ensure a pleasant indoor climate. All cleaning products are environmentally friendly and vegan, ensuring a completely sustainable stay.
Sustainable yoga equipment is available in the house, including mats, bolsters, blocks, and straps.
