Sokraki Villas

Sokraki , Corfu, Greece

The holiday houses and apartments Sokraki Villas are located on the outskirts of the small, original Corfiot mountain village Sokraki. The village is located in the northern half of the island of Corfu, at the top of Trompeta at the end of a narrow serpentine road. The way is worth it! Time seems to have stopped up here. Due to the remote location in the mountains, Sokraki Villas is perfect for a quiet, romantic, relaxing Corfu vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The villas and apartments Villas Sokraki are located on a plot of around 4,000 square meters, which was built on a hillside terrace. From there, guests have a fantastic panoramic view of the mountain village of Sokraki and the mountains beyond, or down to the east coast and the bay of Corfu town. With the binoculars that the operator Marina has ready for her guests, you can look up the green olive groves and surrounding forests for animals from up here. Everywhere on the property, magnificent flowers delight the eye of the visitor. In the evening you practically sit in the front row to watch the beautiful sunset.

A special highlight of the resort is the large swimming pool, which is also spectacularly located on a terrace. The view from the edge of the pool is huge. It is shared by all guests of the two houses. There is an extra pool for children.

The mountain village is nearby, so that you can walk there at any time to immerse yourself in the original island life. If you want a snack in between or don't want to go out in the evening, let the nice owner of Sokraki Villas, Marina, spoil you with traditional Greek delicacies in the in-house tavern. If you don't feel like it or have time for self-sufficiency, you can also have breakfast here with all kinds of Greek delicacies. The restaurant below the villa is also a meeting point for many locals. There is a lot of laughter, music and singing here.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe Sokraki Villas were built in 2007 on a terraced property surrounded by natural stones, from which there is a spectacular view of the surrounding, intact nature. They consist of two houses in the typical Corfiot style. The premise for the construction was to integrate the houses in the best possible way into the surrounding nature. All building materials come from the island. Local stones and woods, vibrant colors and gardens with beautifully blooming flowers are the central elements of the accommodations. The pool, beautifully lit at night, is a defining element of the ensemble. The owners attach great importance to the interior design. The apartments are tasteful, well thought out and of high quality. Some of the furniture was made by hand using traditional craftsmanship.

FoodIn the in-house tavern, the owner of Sokraki Villas conjures up traditional local delicacies. The family of operators produces their own vegetables, fruits, wine, eggs and olive oil. Most of the remaining ingredients come from the cooperation with local farmers and suppliers. Vegetarians and vegans also get their money's worth in the tavern. If you don't feel like it or have time for self-sufficiency, you can get breakfast here for a small fee.

EnvironmentThe operators receive regular training in the area of eco-tourism. Only ecological cleaning agents are used to clean the accommodations. Guests are encouraged to use energy and water responsibly.
