Glamping

Sesta Terra

Framura, Liguria, Italy

Between sky and sea, nestled in the Mediterranean maquis with its intense scents and colors, lies Sesta Terra – a special place on the Ligurian coast.

Those who come here experience a break that feels like an immersion in nature: olive trees, fragrant shrubs, the deep blue of the sea, and the tranquility of a large natural park surround the complex.

The resort was opened in 2019 by a family from Brescia who fell in love with the landscape around Framura. Their desire was to create a refuge where you could directly experience the beauty of Liguria without compromising it. Today, Sesta Terra combines comfort with care: the accommodations and common areas are designed to blend harmoniously with nature, with materials and furnishings that radiate warmth and comfort.

Sesta Terra offers guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in tranquility, yet the vibrant Cinque Terre region is also nearby. A shuttle provides easy access to the Framura train station, from where trains depart for La Spezia or Sestri Levante in just 20 to 30 minutes. In between, picturesque villages, spectacular hiking trails, and panoramic paths along the coast await.

Sustainable

Architecture

The wooden cottages are made entirely of local wood from Northern Italy, while the canvas lodges are crafted from a special fabric that is both insulated and ventilated – ideal for the Mediterranean climate. The furnishings are made of recycled teak, selected from a shop in nearby Sestri Levante. The reception, with its wellness area below, and the restaurant with breakfast room and terrace are made of stone.

Food

The restaurant focuses on seasonal produce and fresh ingredients, most of which are locally sourced. Due to Italian regulations, the restaurant doesn't cultivate its own produce, but food waste is reduced as much as possible by using leftover ingredients to prepare meals for the staff. Under the direction of Chef Filippo Pizzocchero, the kitchen combines traditional Ligurian specialties with contemporary, innovative techniques. Natural flavors are respected and the typical flavors of the region are lovingly showcased.

The resort prefers to employ local staff. Those who come from further afield can stay in shared apartments. Sesta Terra also supports local cultural events such as the FraleMura Festival and the Fralibri Festival in Framura.

Environment

All electricity comes from 100% green energy from the Italian provider RePower, waste is carefully separated, and plastic is largely avoided – especially in the accommodations themselves.

Well-Being

Guests can book a massage on-site by experienced external therapists. The resort also collaborates with partners who organize excursions and activities in the surrounding area, including boat tours in the Cinque Terre or Sestri Levante region, kayaking near Portovenere, e-bike tours between Levanto and Cinque Terre, wine tastings including visits to wineries, and various outdoor sports opportunities around Sestri Levante.
