The hosts Michael and Anja Wellstein developed the idea of the extraordinary holiday home over several years together with the architects Möhring and have opened the door for guests since 2017.
The seascape was intended for rental from the start, and was consequently built and furnished accordingly. The hosts found it exciting to combine modern architecture with regional materials and thereby create contemporary accommodation: Six guests can spend the night in three bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The interior is of high quality, modern and puristic. The motto of the hosts is: "Life and vacation are too short to spend time in less interesting houses".
The region of the Fischland Darß Zingst peninsulas in the Vorpommern Rügen district offers numerous possibilities for excursions and activities: vast, undeveloped meadows, long beaches, the Darß Forest and our own garden dunes. The clear south-facing orientation of the building and the two terraces of the holiday home offer the ideal setting for a relaxing holiday. Even in bad weather you can make yourself wonderfully comfortable in the house and enjoy the great nature of the Darß through the large windows.

Sustainable
ArchitectureLocal and natural building materials were used in the construction in order to implement the ecologically sustainable conviction holistically, without having to forego contemporary architecture or the comfort of modern building. In addition to the roof and the side walls, the gable walls of the seascape were also covered with the natural building material reed (also called reed in other coastal regions). This thatched shell of the main building is combined with a raw steel facade on the flat roof extension. All trades were made by regional craftsmen, for example the thatched / reed roof work by the roofing firm Brandenburg in Born and the metal work by the Mayer locksmith based in Prerow.
EnvironmentSpecial insulation using natural materials was built into the seaside. The ventilation system contains heat recovery and the entire facility and all building materials are natural. Guests can use a wallbox for their electric vehicles. In addition, the garbage is separated.
Well-BeingThere is a sauna in the holiday home that can be used as a fi niche sauna and / or as a climatic steam sauna. In addition to the forest bathing in the Darßwald, guests can undertake numerous cycling and hiking tours. You can surf on the north beach in Prerow or take a carriage ride to the west beach in the national park, where cars are forbidden. In addition, an excursion can be started from the port of Prerow. If you want to take it easy, relax on the pier or go kayaking.

Überhaupt ist das Ferienhaus kein Domizil von der Stange. Für seine außergewöhnliche Architektur gab es einen Preis, die Ausstattung ist ein Fest für Designfans. Mit großzügigen Zimmern, einer Küche mit allem Drum und Dran, drei Schlafräumen und Bädern sind sechs Personen hier vom Feinsten untergebracht. Zum Strand? Ein Katzensprung.
Spannend ist die Herberge am Darßwald allemal: Sie steckt in einer Hülle aus Schilfrohr! Sehr geschmackvoll ist sie außerdem. Und ein feiner Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu Puderzucker-Stränden, Küstenwald und Bodengewässern.
