Sometimes there are places that immediately touch you. Where the light falls differently, the air seems fresher, and the view into the distance radiates a special sense of calm. passa.tempo is just such a place.
Surrounded by vineyards, meadows, and forests, the landscape changes with the seasons – sometimes sunflower fields shine a rich yellow, sometimes golden wheat fields sway in the breeze. The silhouette of the Sibillini Mountains looms in the distance, while Monte Conero National Park seems noticeably close.
The house itself is a meeting of old and new. Once a dilapidated Italian farmhouse ruin, today it's a light-filled retreat where tradition meets modern architecture. Hosts Melanie and Rodolfo completed the house in 2023 and opened it as a B&B in 2024. Large windows bring nature indoors, allowing spaces and thoughts to breathe. The staircase—a centerpiece of the house—connects not only the floors but also the character of this special place: minimalist, clean, yet full of personality.
This isn't about speed or distraction, but about moments. About the first coffee in the morning sun, about gazing at the starry sky, about the feeling of being part of something real for a while.

ArchitectureWith its clean exterior design, the newly constructed house is inspired by the tradition of regional farmhouses. A resource-efficient construction method was used, including a solar roof integrated into the recycled bricks. Furthermore, only local suppliers and predominantly regional materials were used in the renovation.
FoodThe food is "Kilometer Zero", meaning regional and seasonal ingredients are used. The hosts source their fruit and vegetables from local farmers, and their cheese and sausages are also locally sourced. Flour is also sourced locally, and the hosts bake their own bread rolls and cakes. Food waste is avoided as much as possible. Breakfast is prepared in-house every morning, catering to guests' individual preferences. The food is prepared with great attention to detail, which is why large buffets are avoided.
The accommodation works with a social service organization that does laundry. The laundry is located in the region and employs exclusively refugees and people with disabilities.
EnvironmentGreat emphasis is placed on waste separation and efforts are made to avoid plastic in everyday use. Heat pumps are also available, and the water in the saltwater pool is treated daily. Guests are advised to be mindful of water consumption, as water is already a limited and precious resource in Italy.
Well-BeingThere's an indoor whirlpool and a 15-meter-long outdoor saltwater pool. Starting in fall 2025, there will be a sauna, a large yoga and relaxation room, and individually bookable massage and beauty treatments.
