Le Quattro Dame

Rom, Lazio, Italy

The Boutique Hotel Le Quattro Dame is a quiet and relaxing oasis in the center of Rome. From the windows, locals can be seen on their way to work or having breakfast in the cafes on the street. The architecture of the house combines old and new in a unique and timeless way.

The house opened in 2016 and is run by a small Rome company that specializes in conscious hospitality and unique stays. The vision is to offer uncomplicated luxury, conveying values and creating relationships. The guests are welcomed as friends inside the house and can experience the love of the cultural and gastronomic heritage of Rome in a breathtaking setting. The immediate neighborhood is the key to getting to know the city in an uncomplicated way, as all sights, countless cafes and restaurants are within easy walking distance.

The name of the hotel comes from a series of wonderful portraits of women by the famous Renaissance artist Piero del Pollaiolo, the "Four Ladies". Not only the color scheme but also the philosophy of the house was derived from these paintings. The six rooms of the hotel are individually designed and convey a feeling of Italian 'grandeur'. The common rooms have high ceilings, comfortable lounge furniture and are filled with books and magazines.

Sustainable

ArchitectureA cornerstone of the renovation process was the use of materials made in Italy and collaboration with brands whose design and production are also based in Italy. In the common room there are exposed wooden beams and a wall with Renaissance portraits. The old herringbone wooden floors run through the whole house, creating a soft background for the contemporary designer pieces by Meridiani, Flou, Kartell, Catellani & Smith and Viabizzuno. All rooms have floor-to-ceiling French doors with curtains and blinds by Dedar and Sahco, a seating area and a spacious wardrobe. The luxurious marble and concrete bathrooms are outfitted with heated towel rails, steel accessories from Agape and Gessi, cotton towels from Tebro Roma and bespoke toiletries. The Flou Total Body System bedding and high-quality Italian cotton sheets ensure a perfect sleep.

EnvironmentThe property is equipped with modern systems that make it possible to minimize energy consumption in all areas. Energy-saving lamps and key card energy-saving systems are used in all suites, as well as light timers in the common areas. Plastic is avoided whenever possible, a lot is recycled, from the remaining plastic waste left by the guests to the Nespresso pods. Disposable products or travel-friendly amenities are deliberately avoided, instead there are refillable dispensers in the bathrooms. Information in the rooms informs guests about the resource-saving use of energy and waste separation.
