Hussnhof

Sachsenkam, Bavaria, Germany

The Hussnhof is a place where the world becomes quieter and life flows more slowly. Nestled in the untouched nature of the Bavarian nature reserve Ellbach-/Kirchseemoor, this farm is in an absolutely secluded location, surrounded by forests and fragrant herb meadows. Here you have a clear view of the majestic Wallberg, which blends into the panorama of the Alpine foothills.

The time at the Hussnhof is characterized by authenticity and luxury at the same time. In the four spacious apartments with their own wellness area - from the sauna to the massage in your own room - tradition and modernity combine to form a harmonious unit. The interior, with its pine wood, old wood and soft fabrics made of alpaca wool, creates a homely feeling that is underlined by subtle natural colors and soft light.

But what is special is not only the furnishings of the apartments, but also the encounters: with the farm animals - grazing alpacas, cackling chickens, the farm dog Wally or the cats Miezi and Morli, who doze on the terrace, and with the hosts Antonia, Franz, Grandma Anni and Grandpa Hias, who have been passionately running the farm for generations and give guests an authentic insight into country life.

Whether it's yoga on the meadow, alpaca hikes or barbecue evenings with Kaiserschmarrn around the campfire - the Hussnhof offers a program that touches the soul and strengthens the connection to nature. Anyone who wants to get involved will not only find peace here, but also inspiration - and perhaps a piece of themselves.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe Hussnhof combines Alpine tradition and sustainable construction. Wood from the farm's own forest and old wood from old barns characterize the architecture and create an authentic connection to the region. The garden is designed with local plants and fruit trees, complemented by natural stone such as gneiss and granite from the Alpine region. Wood also dominates the outdoor area, which underlines the natural aesthetic in the form of furniture. From planning to completion, only local craftsmen worked with materials that are typical of the Alpine region and perfectly match the character of a traditional farm.

FoodAt Hussnhof, regionality and sustainability are also a priority in culinary terms - this is reflected above all in the lovingly put together farm basket. Jams and eggs come directly from the farm, while other delicacies such as "Mary's gourmet products" await in the "delicacy corner". Leftover food that is unsuitable for humans is fed to the farm animals - a closed cycle that benefits nature and animals.

The team consists exclusively of employees from the region, who shape the special atmosphere with their connection to their homeland and passion for the farm. As an expression of appreciation, they are also allowed to enjoy the benefits of farm life outside of their working hours: free alpaca hikes or visits to the farm animals with the family included.

EnvironmentThe heart of the sustainable actions at Hussnhof is the forest. It provides the valuable, renewable raw material wood, which was not only used to build the holiday apartments, but also feeds the new wood chip heating system. By using photovoltaic systems for electricity and solar thermal energy for hot water, the energy requirement is also covered in an environmentally friendly way. In addition, a new tree is planted for every two-week stay of a guest, and guests can actively help. The water supply comes from our own source, and regional products such as eggs and jam come directly from the farm or from trusted partners in the area.

Well-BeingEach apartment has its own sauna. Guests can also book a massage or do yoga on the courtyard lawn while calves graze and cowbells ring in the background.
