The Hotel VICTORIA is located in the heart of Nuremberg's old town, just steps from the historic city wall and about 200 meters from the main train station.
Depending on the room category, guests are offered a very different view of the city: either of the Klarissenplatz and the New Museum, over the rooftops of the old town with the opera house or into the historic craftsmen's courtyard with its traditional atmosphere.
The hotel combines historical character with modern comfort. Opened in 1896, it celebrates its 130th anniversary this year and has been family-owned since 1920. Today, it is managed by the fourth generation, Sabine Powels. Despite suffering severe damage during World War II, the building was rebuilt and has been continuously developed ever since, without losing its historical character.
Due to the historical building style, the rooms are individually designed, but each category follows a clear, stylish design concept. Overall, a cozy and modern atmosphere, as well as the combination of tradition and contemporary aesthetics, characterizes the entire house.
A special focus is also placed on breakfast, which is included in the room price: The vital VICTORIA breakfast with homemade breakfast tapas, personal coffee service in conjunction with Nuremberg coffee roastery BERGBRAND and regional and seasonal products ensures a delightful start to the day.

All structural alterations to the hotel are subject to historic preservation regulations and must be coordinated and approved accordingly. Nevertheless, the building has been continuously renovated and carefully developed over the past decades. Great emphasis is placed on environmentally friendly materials, such as the use of bio-vinyl flooring. The hotel has also worked closely with long-standing regional partners for many years. A particular focus is placed on reusing existing furnishings: furniture is not replaced, but rather carefully refurbished; in particular, chairs, armchairs, and sofas are reupholstered and thus remain part of the hotel for many years to come.
The breakfast buffet and the conference and event kitchen primarily use seasonal and regional ingredients. Organic quality is used whenever possible, although this cannot be guaranteed at all times. The focus is on fresh, locally sourced products and a cuisine that follows the seasons, thus ensuring authentic, regional quality.
As part of the Fair Job Hotels network, the team at Hotel VICTORIA is of paramount importance. Employees from various countries have been with the hotel for many years, some even for decades, and play a crucial role in shaping its welcoming, family-like atmosphere. The hotel places great emphasis on fair and reliable working conditions. These include bonuses, discounted shopping and hotel stays, health benefits, and tax-advantaged meal allowances. These benefits are complemented by professional development programs with regular training sessions in cooperation with external partners, a company pension plan, and predictable working hours. Shared activities such as employee events and team breakfasts further strengthen team cohesion. Beyond its internal focus, the hotel is also committed to supporting local arts and culture projects as well as social initiatives such as the Bavarian Nature Conservation Association (Bund Naturschutz) and the Sternstunden e.V. charity campaign in December. By foregoing room cleaning services, contributions are directly donated to the Bavarian Nature Conservation Association (Bund Naturschutz Bayern e.V.).
The hotel has been awarded GreenSign Level 4 (out of 5) and pursues a holistic sustainability approach encompassing ecology, economy, and social responsibility. In daily operations, this is reflected in measures such as consistent waste separation, energy conservation, the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products and sustainable materials, and the upcycling of old furniture. While some structural modifications are limited due to the building's listed status, continuous improvements are being pursued within the given constraints. Currently, the hotel meets seven of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and transparently documents its progress in its 2025 sustainability report.
