In the Hotel Lindenwirt, surrounded by the impressive nature of the Bavarian Forest with the Great Arber, guests can expect healthy food, a large wellness area and numerous leisure and adventure opportunities. The extensive gardens with infinity outdoor pool and the natural swimming pond invite you to do so.
A special feature is the holistic health concept that runs through the entire hotel. The love for nature can be felt everywhere - from the kitchen to the architecture. The kitchen relies on an alkaline, enjoyable diet and guests can also take advantage of nutritional advice.
The house is family-run in the third generation. The guests are welcomed by Maria and Christian Geiger. Over the years, the Lindenwirt has developed from a farm, to an inn with a few guest rooms, to a holiday hotel and finally to a wellness hotel. Now it is one of the traditional hotels in the Bavarian Forest region.

ArchitectureDuring the extensive renovations in recent years, mostly natural materials such as wood and stone have been used. They were implemented by small and medium-sized construction companies from the region.
FoodThe kitchen team mainly uses regional and seasonal foods, most of which are organic. Examples of this are honey that is obtained directly from the village via a small beekeeper, eggs from a small farm in the region, and fish that is obtained exclusively from MSC-certified fisheries. The Hotel Landwirt is a member of the Slow Food Germany association. All food is processed in the kitchen, which is why there is almost no food waste. Occasionally, game from the local forest is used for meat dishes. Herbal tea is sourced from certified organic tea houses and coffee exclusively from fair trade. The crystal clear mountain spring water from the Lindenwirt private spring is available to all guests directly on the taps and in drinking quality.
All employees can use the wellness area and fitness room free of charge, use treatments or take part in the activity program. In addition, there are discounts on the hotel's services for family members of the employees. Most of the employees come from the region.
EnvironmentThe hosts communicate their sustainability efforts both in personal conversations with the guests, via the website and using information in the rooms. 50% of the energy consumption is covered by wood chips from our own forest. The new block-type thermal power station enables you to generate your own electricity using waste heat, which can significantly reduce your own CO2 emissions. All exterior and corridor lighting is controlled by a timer in order to avoid unnecessary energy consumption. All lighting fixtures are already or will be converted to LED to reduce energy consumption. Table linen, napkins and bed linen are organic. Only organic detergents and cleaning agents are used. The natural cosmetics offered are free from parabens and additives. Waste is carefully separated and disposed of.
Well-BeingThe Hotel Landwirt offers a wide range of health and wellness treatments. The offer is supplemented by Qi Gong, Ayurveda treatments and individually tailored yoga sessions. The new fitness room also invites you to an entertaining “gym session” throughout the day. As part of the activity program, guided hikes, e-bike tours, forest bathing and Nordic walking are also offered.
