Even the contemplative, nested Caputh lets the visitor forget the hectic everyday world. But at the latest when you have left the Brandenburg fishing village behind and enter the garden of the holiday apartment "elisabeth am see", the recovery begins.
The guests in elisabeth am see® are always received personally by the owners Eva Loschky and Jörg Becker (he named the apartment after his mother). Their goal is to give the visitors free space that they can fill according to their own ideas. All wishes are listened to.
The spacious apartment is located in what is at first glance a rather unspectacular brick building from the 1930s. Upon entering, the modern and very high quality furnished apartment immediately reveals all of its advantages. A glass cube brings a lot of light into the house and in the evening a sophisticated lighting design creates an atmospheric atmosphere. Above all, the magnificent view captivates: The view through the window sweeps over the garden and the Havelland orchard to the shore of Lake Templin and in the distance you can see the dome of the Nikolaikirche in Potsdam. No matter whether you want to go on vacation or work, you will definitely find the right inspiration and peace here.
If you want, you can listen to the waves sitting on the jetty, relax under the fruit trees or enjoy a coffee on the hotel's lake terrace. A special highlight is the in-house spa lounge for sole use. If you like water sports: the house has a two-person kayak, stand-up paddle, a sailboat and a raft, which guests can use free of charge on request. Rowing boats and motor boats are available for hire in the village.
The beautiful surroundings can be explored on foot or on well-developed bike paths. Rental bicycles are available on site. There are also plenty of excursions; such as the Einstein House, Caputh Castle, the Havelland painter's colony, a Japanese bonsai garden and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Potsdam SansSouci as well as the city center of Berlin are only a few kilometers away.

ArchitectureOf course, local suppliers (from bricklayers to upholsterers) were preferred for the construction, most of which even come directly from the town. Regional materials have been used as much as possible. Through cooperations with exclusive outfitters such as boffi or Vola or through custom-made designs by Jörg Becker, it was possible to offer a very harmonious living space design, from the tap to the lighting technology. When designing the rooms, areas were deliberately created for art. Changing exhibitions influence and change living in Elisabeth am See. If someone is a frequent guest, they experience how art designs and shapes spaces, how it gives them charisma and atmosphere.
In the village there is the "anchor house" for unaccompanied minor refugees. The operators of the holiday apartment support this house through personal commitment, of course also through donations in kind. Local initiatives such as "Caputh Art Tour" or the "Havelbote" volunteer newspaper are of course supported by the house.
EnvironmentSustainability is a matter of course in the concept by elisabeth am see: there is a ventilation system with 90 percent heat recovery, an additional earth collector and a pollen filter. On the one hand, this optimizes energy efficiency, on the other hand, it ensures allergy-free rooms. Since the concept is designed for allergy sufferers, it goes without saying that all materials - if possible - have an organic certificate. A central vacuum cleaner supports the allergy-friendly concept. The water circulates not only in warm but also in fresh water, so that no bacteria can form when not in use. As a result, the house provides maximum water hygiene. Since the clinker construction does not allow external insulation, vacuum panels and Multipor mineral insulation were installed on the inside. The old box windows were retrofitted with an inner seal and special heat protection glass, the new windows have triple glazing. Bulbs have been completely dispensed with. Instead, halogen lamps and future-oriented LED technology were installed. The house has low energy floor and wall heating. Garbage is strictly separated, there is compost in the garden. Guests are encouraged to support the concept.
Well-BeingThe 30 m2 spa lounge is only available to guests of elisabeth am see. From there you have a lake view and direct access to the garden and lake. The lounge has a brine steam bath, gush shower, rain shower, hose for Kneipp water, two glass foot baths, a round glass washbasin and a large freestanding bathtub by Boffi, Smartbench toilet, infrared heater. Massages and yoga can be arranged in the house on request. The complete switch-off of all power grids in the sleeping area in addition to the absolute rural calm guarantees deep and restful sleep.
