Tiny House

Das Seehäuser

Mattsee, Salzburg (state), Austria

Located on the banks of Lake Mattsee, Das Seehäuser presents itself as an idyllic TinyHouse resort with its own beach and private access to the lake. This unique oasis opened its doors on December 1, 2023 and has since offered tiny houses in three different categories for different needs: TinyHouse, TinyVilla and TinyLoft.

Here at the lake, the beauty of nature and modern comfort combine to create an unforgettable experience. The 37 tiny houses are characterized by their minimalist design - bright, subtle, friendly and flooded with light. The atmosphere is cozy and characterized by natural materials, especially wood.

In addition to the minimalist, modern houses, special highlights await guests: a food truck for culinary delights, coworking spaces for creative work, an own observatory and a bathhouse with saunas and moor water pools for maximum relaxation. An in-house grocer's shop with regional products rounds off the offering and ensures authentic flair and a local reference.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe 37 charming solid wooden houses are made from regional wood and have sustainable wood fiber insulation. The houses rest on screw foundations and have photovoltaic modules on around 70% of their roofs, which generate sustainable energy. Local craftsmen were mainly commissioned to build the houses and the interior design came from the Leimgruber Mattsee company.

Employees receive discounted overnight stays and can create a good balance between family and work through flexible working time models. So far, only employees from the region have worked at Das Seehäuser.

EnvironmentA photovoltaic system ensures environmentally friendly energy generation, while cleaning uses exclusively ecological means. In the in-house grocer's shop, guests can also expect a selection of regional products, mostly packaged in environmentally friendly reusable packaging. Sustainability is also very important when it comes to sleeping comfort - the use of organic mattresses and upholstery underlines the commitment to an environmentally friendly and healthy lifestyle.

Well-BeingThere is collaboration with regional partners such as the Inama Institute for Yoga Movement and Health.
