A sensational view over the Merano Valley, minimalist elegance and excellent food - everything is just right in "Culinaria Living". In line with the motto "Come up, to slow down", the location above the village of Tyrol and the puristic interior ensure inner and outer peace. In focus - the vision and deep breathing.
Elisabeth Kofler and her husband Manfred renovated the former star restaurant in 2022 and converted it into two apartments. The exclusive suites have retained their culinary heritage. Not only an excellent breakfast is served here, but also meals that you can enjoy in private on your own terrace. Some guests are even said to be addicted to the family's home-made tartare from South Tyrolean gray cattle, with fermented kohlrabi, olives, butter and toast.
Modern bathrooms and kitchens, tasteful furnishings with lots of wood, granite and high-quality furniture, as well as atmospheric light sources round off the style. The large glass fronts and equally large mirrors reflect nature and the mountain panorama inside. This open and clear architecture brings a lot of fresh air into your thoughts and provides fresh ideas. In "Culinaria Living", how could it be otherwise with the name and the tradition, the focus is on enjoying life. It is a real oasis of calm for connoisseurs.

ArchitectureDuring the conversion, the family only worked with South Tyrolean companies. All materials were reused whenever possible. Likewise, care was taken in the interior design to use only certified products - for example wood and granite.
FoodGuests can order breakfast and cooking boxes. Manfred Kofler attaches great importance to using everything and not wasting any food. The nationally known great products from South Tyrol are in the foreground and should be enjoyed as natural and of high quality as they are. Products such as apples, plums, peaches, kiwis and nuts grow in the garden. The South Tyrolean bacon is even produced in-house.
EnvironmentThe electricity is generated by a photovoltaic system and the water is heated by solar panels. The overproduced electricity is fed into the South Tyrolean power grid. The private water source is used to water the garden. Efforts are made to recycle and reuse everything. The guests are also encouraged to use resources sparingly, such as changing linen and hygiene products. Regional mountain herbs have been planted on the site and the natural environment has been preserved. Food waste goes with us in the organic waste and is composted by the municipality.
